Rooms require heating the ambient air as well as the floor and thus requires use without sensors. This is to ensure that rooms are heated quickly and then maintain the set temperature.
The sensors will detect heat under the floor which will reach set temperatures without warming the ambient air. When the ambient temperature reaches the internal sensor on the thermostat, without the sensor, it will then maintain the set temperature on the thermostat.
We recommend that sensors be used for only small applications and not large installations such as halls and restaurants unless more thermostats are used.
